Scope of Work

This Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) details the safe working procedures for the installation of domestic kitchens, including but not limited to:

  • Site induction and establishment of welfare facilities.
  • Acceptance and safe manual handling of kitchen unit carcasses, doors, panels, and worktops.
  • Assembly and installation of base and wall units.
  • Accurate measurement, cutting, and fitting of worktops (laminate, solid wood, or compact laminate).
  • Installation of sinks, taps, and waste disposal units.
  • Integration and installation of freestanding and integrated appliances (e.g., ovens, hobs, dishwashers, fridges).
  • Making safe and connecting plumbing services (water and waste) and electrical services (after isolation by a competent person).
  • Installation of splashbacks, tiling, and decorative finishes.
  • Final adjustments, cleaning, and handover.

All work will be carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015), and other relevant statutory provisions and industry best practices.
